he Klompus Family Foundation was founded in 2001 with the mission of promoting projects and services that enhance the lives of marginalized and at-risk women and girls in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. The Foundation recognizes that the effects of poverty, disability, violence, victimization and lack of access to resources present significant obstacles to women and girls seeking to improve their lives, and its goal is to promote activities to reduce the magnitude of those obstacles.

The Foundation is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors which makes all grant determinations.
